Corbaiola Ethological Park |

We are setting up an ethological park with annexed scientifically equipped laboratory on the Corbaiola estate with the express aim to pursue scientific research in ethology, ecology and related scientific disciplines, as well as to offer highly qualified consultancy in these fields. Beyond its scientific research scope, our project also sets out to develop and promote a host of teaching activities. In line with these stated aims, we view the ethological park as a nature outpost suited for teaching students at middle, high and further education levels. University students in particular will thus be able to conduct their field research and learn the basic techniques required to empower them to gather and subsequently analyse their data. In order to promote nature loving young people and adults, we intend to run introductory on location classes in zoology and biology and teach identification of signs and traces of animal presence. We intend to host nature trails, on foot or cycling. Our
teaching and field activities have a broader wider
educational aim of going beyond the simple spreading of
appreciation and knowledge about our country's natural
resources. Through them, we intend to encourage attendance
on our courses and seminars which will allow a deeper study
of the disciplines in question. It is worth mentioning that
our ability to offer and organise courses, seminars and
conferences is greatly aided by our being able to utilise
the educational facilities available at Radicondoli's
Convento dell'Osservanza. |
